When the church of Vinzons was razed down by a fire that occurred a little after midnight of December 25, 2012, the whole province of Camarines Norte was engulfed, as it were, by a feeling of profound melancholy. It was because of the huge significance of the church of Vinzons that it played in the faith-life of the people for many centuries.
